We normally recommend an external door should be supplied with it's own frame. This is not always necessary however and we will happily calculate the ideal thickness of frame to suit the weight of your new door and advise the suitability of your existing frame including an assessment of its condition. Our bespoke frames come complete with all draught and weather seals fitted. The same guidelines apply to internal door linings, the only difference being of an aesthetic nature. It is always preferable in our own opinion to have the lining for an internal door made from the same batch of wood as the door itself, thereby giving the best matches possible in colour and grain patterns.
